I was on jury duty earlier this year, and when I'm on jury duty, I always try to make it to 10th Street Italian. Passed these by and was struck by the knowledge that these blocks have probably survived intact here for about 130+ years. Just a guesstimate. I noticed this a long time ago, but if you look closely, you can see the original alley blocks--made of wood.
