Highway 40 Memorial Bird Sanctuary

I took a short sojourn to the remains of Highway 40 just west of the Spoede Road overpass right before demolition began. Apparently it was one of the oldest bridges on the highway, and now I imagine it is gone. I literally heard birds chirping when I hopped out of the car. It was sublime; the giant earth movers lined up like silent sentinels with the bare dirt stretching out into the distance.

Syndicate Trust, Looking Spiffy

I don't know why, but I don't like how nice and clean the Syndicate Trust looks now.I know what it is, it's lost its patina.

I thought this building in the western part of downtown had a certain panache to it. Too bad it doesn't have any neighbors to share it with.
