Passing by the great Gothic archway at the entrance to Pasadena Hills, I realized that I had found one of the most unique communities in North St. Louis County. Buffeted by massive green spaces and stunning architecture, the town is truly special. Located to the northwest of Lucas-Hunt and Natural Bridge Roads, the planned community feels like it is from a different time. Here is an aerial view and the city's website.
I am so glad someone finally took note of the beauty of Pasadena Hills. I grew up in the late 50s and 60s on Roland, and I walked to Jefferson school every day through Pasadena. I live in California now, a pretty state for sure, but nothing compares to the beauty and majesty of Pasadena Hills. Thanks for the pictures.
ReplyDeleteBTW, the large Spanish style house on behind the fountain on Roland and country club was owned by Johnny Londoff, the Chevrolet dealer.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that this made my day more than you'll know. About ten or so years ago, a friend that I made in college drove me through those gorgeous streets... and I was instantly smitten. About two months ago, I was wanting to go back, but due to ten years passing, I couldn't remember the name of the hamlet. I think I know what I'm doing this weekend! Thanks for sharing!
