Graham Chapel, Washington University

Architecture has a way of making a statement about its builders and their motives. The architecture of Washington University hearkens back to the great Medieval universities of Cambridge and Oxford, showcasing for the most part Gothic Revival architecture. Graham Chapel is a wonderful, detached example of this style.Lancet windows grace the longitudinal axis of the chapel.Above, spires of Flamboyant Gothic rise up into the sky.Likewise, the cheerfulness of the Gothic style reveals itself in these small details.
